In Celebration of the Snowdrop

The first collage is how styled this emerald green velvet evening gown. I was inspired by the Galanthus Titania "Snowdrop" flower. I thought the stripes on the green petals resembled the design on the bodice of the gown. I chose the butterfly necklace for its whimsical design and multiple colors. I chose the peep toe high heels for their embellished "crisscross" design that repeats the design of the gown. I chose the velvet evening bag for its interesting shape and embellished clasp. I chose the floral design cocktail ring for its emerald and sapphire gemstones to coordinate with the necklace.๐Ÿƒ
The second collage was styled by the majority of my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page. I think they did a great job with the choices I gave them.

In Celebration of the Cymbidium Orchid

The first collage is how I planned to style this pumpkin colored Zac Posen evening gown. The orange Cymbidium Orchid was the inspiration for this Style Challenge. I thought the evening gown had design elements that looked similar to the flower. In addition to color I always try to find gowns and flowers with similarities in their designs. I thought the peplum on the gown looked similar to the petals of the flower. Of course the color appears to be very close too. I chose the pearl, diamond and gold crisscross design earrings to repeat the crisscross design on the gown at the neckline and the waist. I also thought the gold was similar to the color of the gown and the white of the pearls picked up the white center of the flower. I chose the black evening bag with the gold frame and orange stones to pick up on the black color on the flower. I had toyed with the idea of selecting a few accessories in leopard print to pick up that design in the flower. I decided not to confuse my Lovely Readers since they were not allowed to see the flower. I chose the black high heels to coordinate with the evening bag. I chose the gold and pearl cuff bracelet to coordinate with the earrings.
The second collage was styled by my Lovely Readers without knowing what flower had inspired me. I think they did a fabulous job  bringing out the best in this evening gown.
I appreciate them playing along on my Kentucky Fashion Style Challenges. ๐Ÿงก

Breast Cancer Awareness Collages

The first collage is how I planned to style this shimmering pink evening gown. I was inspired by the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness. I chose the velvet rose floral brooch for it's beautiful, natural colors. I would pin it to the left side of the wide sash at the waist giving it a bit of #vintage style. I chose the earrings for the pink Conch pearls which match the floral brooch and the dress. I chose the pink high heel sandals for their color but also the pink crystal embellishments. I think they would look outstanding at the Hi-lo hem of the gown. I chose the pink crystal studded evening bag to match the gown and the embellishments on the heels. I didn't think it would draw too much attention away from the velvet flowers at the waist. ๐ŸŒธ

The second collage was styled by my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page.

When I was looking for a pretty pink evening gown for this challenge I searched for a gown that wasn't revealing at the neckline or bodice. Some breast cancer survivors have not had reconstruction surgery so I wanted to choose a gown that would be modest to honor them. ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

I appreciate my Lovely Readers participating in my Style Challenges. I hope they have given you something beautiful and interesting in your news feed every week. It's easy to focus on the negative things on Facebook. My goal has been to counteract that negativity with something beautiful, positive and with a bit of fantasy thrown in.  ๐Ÿ˜

In Celebration of the Burgundy Wine Ranunculus Flower

The first collage is how I styled this Valdrin Sahiti burgundy satin evening gown inspired by the Burgundy Wine Ranunculus flower. I chose the ruby and diamond brooch because it resembles the shape of the flower. I would wear it pinned to the left side of the waist instead of the right shoulder. I chose the ruby and diamond drop style earrings because of the rich color that picks up the deep burgundy of the gown. I chose the Christian Louboutin burgundy velvet high heels because of their texture and crystal embellished bows. I am a fan of wearing satin and velvet together so this was my style opportunity! I chose the crystal embellished Judith Leiber evening bag because of its floral design and it would coordinate with the sparkling diamonds of the jewelry as well as the bows on the heels.

The second collage was is the way the majority of my Kentucky Fashion Facebook Readers styled the gown. I think they did a fabulous job! ๐Ÿท

In Celebration of Lavender

This is how I planned to style this deep purple, lace applique, evening gown. I was inspired by the fragrant Lavender flower. I chose the Amethyst and Emerald earrings because they looked a bit like the flowers. I chose the deep purple, satin high heel sandals because I thought the color matched the gown and wouldn't draw attention away from the lace. I chose the jewel embellished evening bag because I thought the purple stones looked similar to the stones in the earrings. I chose the Amethyst cocktail ring because it has Emerald stones that match the Emeralds in the earrings. I also like the white flower with the gold gemstone center because it goes along with my floral theme.

The second collage is the result of my Style Challenge. These are the accessories that my Lovely Readers chose on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page. ๐Ÿ’œ

In Celebration of the Sunflower

The first collage is how I planned to style the
@jeanfarescouture  brown evening gown. I was inspired by the color and texture of the Sunflower. I chose the gown not only for it's color but also for it's wide neckline. I had been wanting to add a necklace to one of my Style Challenges for variety and thought this gown was perfect. The necklace I chose is a bit more subdued than the one my Lovely Readers chose. I liked the pearls in the necklace and in the pearl drop earrings that I had chosen to coordinate with it. Both mimic the shape of the petals of the Sunflower.  I chose the soft gold, metallic high heel sandals so there would be no competition with the layers of chiffon on the skirt of the gown. I chose the "Mother of Pearl" evening bag to accentuate the muted colors of the gown under the brown overskirt. I also liked the way the pearl finish of the  clutch provided a bit of shimmer. I think it would reflect light as the wearer moved around.

The second collage is how my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page styled the evening gown. I think they did very well in their choices of accessories for this beautiful gown. I hope they enjoyed playing this Style Challenge. ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒป

In Celebration of the Night Blooming Cereus

This is how I planned to style this #Vintage inspired, white satin evening gown. I was inspired by my friend's "Night Blooming Cereus." I chose the antique dress clips because their design mimics the way the outer petals of the flower look. I chose the Marquis cut, diamond earrings because they don't dangle and wouldn't interfere with the dress clips. I chose the high heels for their vintage style and metallic color. I chose the metallic evening bag for its color, vintage design and crystal embellishments. I chose the diamond bracelet because it's similar to the earrings.

In Celebration of the Parnassia Grandifolia

This is how I planned to style the Parnassia Grandifolia flower. I chose it because the green stripes in the petals matched the moss green evening gown by MNMCouture.com. I chose the cluster of Tahitian pearl and diamond earrings for their color and luster as well as the diamond leaves. I chose the high heel sandals for their light color and texture that I thought would enhance without taking attention away from the deep green color of the gown. The gown's fabric reminded me of "Shagreen." It's a type of leather that is often used to cover coffee table tops and other types of furniture and accessories. I was delighted to find an evening bag made from it. The white freshwater pearl and diamond cocktail ring reminded me of flower petals.

The second collage is how my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page styled the evening gown.

In Celebration of the Pink Pansy

I was pleased to find the pink and purple Pansy that was the same color as this "Radiant Purple" evening gown. The round petals reminded me of the double flounce around the shoulders of the gown. I chose the earrings because they had both pink and purple stones. I chose the high heels sandals for their color and simple design. I chose the deep pink and purple evening bag because it matches the dress. I chose the enormous pink stone and purple ring because of the colors and the design. I had never see anything like it so I couldn't resist!

In Celebration of the Black Bleeding Heart

The second picture is a collage of how I planned to style this sleek evening gown by Valdrin Sahiti and was inspired by the black Bleeding Heart flower. I chose the diamond and pearl earrings to accentuate the white lined neckline. I also like classic diamonds and pearls with black dresses. I chose the high heels for their crystal embellishments on the straps over the toes. I chose the black and white beaded evening bag to repeat the black and white of the gown's neckline. I chose the diamond bracelet because it is similar to the diamond design of the earrings.

The third picture is a collage of how my Readers on my Facebook page styled the gown. I appreciate them continuing to play my Style Challenges.

In Celebration of Freesias

The first collage is how I planned to style the floral evening gown inspired by multicolored Freesias. I chose the earrings because they repeated the colors of the flowers in the gown. I chose the open toe slingback heels for the colorful jewel trim. I chose the evening bag because it's called "Watercolors" by Judith Leiber and is completely covered in crystals. It also repeats the colors in the gown which looks like a watercolor print. I chose the cocktail ring because it includes all the colors in the flowers and gown.๐Ÿ’

The second collage is how my Kentucky Fashion Facebook Readers chose to accessorize the floral evening gown. I think they always make good choices. The style challenges have become a favorite of my Top Fans as well as my new fans. I appreciate them playing along! ๐Ÿ’
