In Celebration of Lavender

This is how I planned to style this deep purple, lace applique, evening gown. I was inspired by the fragrant Lavender flower. I chose the Amethyst and Emerald earrings because they looked a bit like the flowers. I chose the deep purple, satin high heel sandals because I thought the color matched the gown and wouldn't draw attention away from the lace. I chose the jewel embellished evening bag because I thought the purple stones looked similar to the stones in the earrings. I chose the Amethyst cocktail ring because it has Emerald stones that match the Emeralds in the earrings. I also like the white flower with the gold gemstone center because it goes along with my floral theme.

In Celebration of the Sunflower

The first collage is how I planned to style the
@jeanfarescouture  brown evening gown. I was inspired by the color and texture of the Sunflower. I chose the gown not only for it's color but also for it's wide neckline. I had been wanting to add a necklace to one of my Style Challenges for variety and thought this gown was perfect. The necklace I chose is a bit more subdued than the one my Lovely Readers chose. I liked the pearls in the necklace and in the pearl drop earrings that I had chosen to coordinate with it. Both mimic the shape of the petals of the Sunflower.  I chose the soft gold, metallic high heel sandals so there would be no competition with the layers of chiffon on the skirt of the gown. I chose the "Mother of Pearl" evening bag to accentuate the muted colors of the gown under the brown overskirt. I also liked the way the pearl finish of the  clutch provided a bit of shimmer. I think it would reflect light as the wearer moved around.

The second collage is how my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page styled the evening gown. I think they did very well in their choices of accessories for this beautiful gown. I hope they enjoyed playing this Style Challenge. 🍂🌻

In Celebration of the Night Blooming Cereus

This is how I planned to style this #Vintage inspired, white satin evening gown. I was inspired by my friend's "Night Blooming Cereus." I chose the antique dress clips because their design mimics the way the outer petals of the flower look. I chose the Marquis cut, diamond earrings because they don't dangle and wouldn't interfere with the dress clips. I chose the high heels for their vintage style and metallic color. I chose the metallic evening bag for its color, vintage design and crystal embellishments. I chose the diamond bracelet because it's similar to the earrings.

In Celebration of the Parnassia Grandifolia

This is how I planned to style the Parnassia Grandifolia flower. I chose it because the green stripes in the petals matched the moss green evening gown by MNMCouture.com. I chose the cluster of Tahitian pearl and diamond earrings for their color and luster as well as the diamond leaves. I chose the high heel sandals for their light color and texture that I thought would enhance without taking attention away from the deep green color of the gown. The gown's fabric reminded me of "Shagreen." It's a type of leather that is often used to cover coffee table tops and other types of furniture and accessories. I was delighted to find an evening bag made from it. The white freshwater pearl and diamond cocktail ring reminded me of flower petals.

In Celebration of the Pink Pansy

I was pleased to find the pink and purple Pansy that was the same color as this "Radiant Purple" evening gown. The round petals reminded me of the double flounce around the shoulders of the gown. I chose the earrings because they had both pink and purple stones. I chose the high heels sandals for their color and simple design. I chose the deep pink and purple evening bag because it matches the dress. I chose the enormous pink stone and purple ring because of the colors and the design. I had never see anything like it so I couldn't resist!
