Portieres or Door Curtains

Hanging drapes in doorways can make cool rooms warmer in cold weather as well as looking very elegant. If you use a search engine you probably need to enter "doorway curtains." These pictures from Pinterest show the many beautiful ways they can be used.

I love wearing pearls of all shapes, colors and styles because they are so feminine. They go with everything from jeans to evening gowns. A modern look for pearl bracelets is to stack them. You can use all pearls or mix them up with monogrammed bracelets, gold, silver, shell and stone bracelets. You may already have bracelets that you could stack but never thought about it. In our too casual society you can dress up your outfit by adding pearls. Search Etsy dealers for bracelets like these.

This Dolce & Gabbana yellow/ brown leather and leopard print fabric tote may have started the trend of wearing mustard yellow with leopard print. It sold recently on the 1stDibs website for over $600.00. Mustard yellow will not be flattering on everyone but you can wear whatever shade  you love. I love scarves. I have a nice collection of them in all colors, sizes and fabrics. Folding them to wear with an outfit is still a challenge for me. I read that French woman keep the inside of their shirt and jacket collars clean by wearing a scarf around their necks. You can add polish to jeans and slacks by wearing a shirt with a collar, a blazer and a pocket square or handkerchief. Vests are supposed to be trending this Fall. They look nice under blazers too for an extra layer of warmth.

Powder Blue Gown Style Challenge

 Are my Lovely Readers ready for a new Style Challenge? I LOVE this powder blue gown with its white floral applique so much. It would be perfect for a second marriage ceremony, an older bride who doesn't want to wear a white wedding gown or the mother of a bride. Keeping that in mind I've selected accessories that can be worn for a special event or a wedding. I especially like the longer length sleeves and higher neckline.  It's incredibly feminine without looking like a prom or pageant gown.
