in Celebration of the Deep Pink Rose

The first collage is how I styled this Carolina Herrera pink, tuxedo maxi dress. I was inspired by deep pink roses. I chose the three strand, pearl necklace because I thought it would fill in the open area of the neckline. Pearls are a classic accessory for formal wear.  I chose the pearl stud earrings with the diamond leaves to coordinate with the necklace and to repeat the shape of the rose leaves. I chose the pink satin sling back heels because of their simple design, fabric and color. I thought they would blend into the hem of the gown. I chose the "watered silk" evening bag for its color and textured pattern. I chose the diamond and ruby cocktail ring for its rose design, color and to coordinate with the diamond leaves on the earrings. The second collage was styled by the majority of my Lovely Readers. 💖

In Celebration of the Royal Sunset Bearded Iris

The first collage is mine. My inspiration for styling this deep purple, off the shoulder, crushed velvet, @bruceoldfieldcouture evening gown was the stunning "Royal Sunset" Bearded Iris. I thought the deep purple petals looked like velvet and appeared to be similar to the gown's color and texture. I chose the interesting gold, pearl and gemstone drop earrings because they picked up all of the colors in the Iris. I chose the textured gold high heels because they looked similar to the gold edges of the white part of the Iris. I chose the Mother of Pearl and gold evening bag because the embellishments reminded me of flower petals. I chose the gold, amethyst, and gemstone cocktail ring because it reminded me of the intricate shapes within the Iris. This gown was custom designed for @PrincessDiana in 1987. I think it's very fitting that I chose the "Royal Sunset" Iris as my inspiration. The second collage was styled by my Lovely Readers on my Kentucky Fashion Facebook page. They always enjoy styling evening gowns because it's a fun distraction from current events.💜
